1. Who Can Use TallyBee
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
2. Your Account
- Provide accurate information and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@tallybee.app if you suspect unauthorized use.
- You may close your account at any time (see Section 9).
3. What TallyBee Is and Is Not
TallyBee is a record-keeping and calculation tool for shared expenses. It helps you record what was spent, split costs, track balances, and suggest settlements each cycle.
TallyBee does not move, hold, or transfer money. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a money transmitter, or a provider of financial, tax, or legal advice. Settlement suggestions are calculations based on the data you enter. Any actual payments between members happen outside TallyBee, and the obligations are solely between those members.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the real-world arrangements between you and the people you share with.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Free plan: includes 1 community at no cost.
- Pro plan: $9 per month or $97 per year, billed through Stripe. Pro unlocks up to 3 communities, advanced splits, group splits, multi-currency expenses, and budgets.
- Owner-based features: Pro features apply at the community level based on the community owner's plan. If the owner is on Pro, members get those features within that community.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancellation: you can cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the current paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Price changes: we may change prices with reasonable advance notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights;
- upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful or harmful;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
- use the Service to harass other members or misrepresent shared expenses.
6. Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you add (expenses, notes, receipts, and similar). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you and the other members of your communities. You are responsible for the content you add and for sharing communities only with people you trust.
8. Availability and Changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend access for maintenance or to protect the Service.
9. Termination and Account Deletion
- You may delete your account at any time. Outstanding non-zero balances in any community may need to be settled or forgiven before deletion completes.
- When you delete your account, your personal information is anonymized while financial records are retained in anonymized form so other members' balances stay correct.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for other users or the Service.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, or that calculations and suggestions will meet every need. You remain responsible for verifying figures that matter to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TallyBee will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, profits, or data arising from your use of the Service or from real-world settlements between members. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the last updated date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law rules.
